Short, because we collect almost nothing.
Last updated 1 September 2026
1. What we collect
There are exactly two ways this site collects anything about you.
- The waitlist form. If you submit it, we store the email address you type, the optional city you select, and which page you submitted from. Nothing else — no name, no wallet address, no phone number.
- Ordinary server logs. Requests to this site are logged by our hosting provider in the normal course of serving a web page: IP address, user agent, requested path, timestamp. These are operational records, used to keep the site up and to spot abuse.
There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no session recording and no third-party tracker on this site. We do not set cookies for tracking. If that changes before launch, this page changes with it and the change is dated.
2. Why we collect it
The email address exists for one purpose: to tell you when trading goes live, and to reply if you write to us. We do not run a newsletter off it, and we do not sell, rent or share the list with anyone for their own marketing.
3. Where it is stored
While the site is pre-launch, waitlist submissions are stored in a simple application-side store operated for this project. When an email provider is connected ahead of launch, the list is migrated to it, this page is updated to name that provider, and the same commitments apply.
4. Legal basis
Where the GDPR or a similar regime applies to you, our basis for holding your email address is your consent, given when you submitted the form. You can withdraw it at any time, and withdrawing it means we delete the address.
5. How long we keep it
Waitlist addresses are kept until trading opens and the launch email has been sent, or until you ask us to delete yours — whichever comes first. If the project is abandoned, the list is deleted rather than sold or transferred.
6. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Because the only identifier we hold is the address you gave us, the practical route is to write from that address and ask.
7. Sharing
We share your data with nobody for marketing purposes. The only parties who process it are the infrastructure providers needed to run the site and, in future, to send the launch email. We may disclose information where we are legally required to.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone who is not old enough to consent where they live.
9. Changes
This policy will be updated as the project moves toward launch — most obviously when an email provider is named. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
10. Contact
Until the operating entity and a monitored address are published, deletion and access requests can be made by replying to any email you receive from Rent Index, from the address you signed up with. See also the terms of use.
